I am in the process of trying to build the most durable and reliable Custom Boat.. I am going to make it out of shaped aluminum sheet metal. I plan on using a "trx .15".. but if i get the money i will try and out-board. I did have a few questions First off any suggestions.. or boat designs please pleas let me know.. anything goes.. as long as it will work.. and it is durable... !! another is what is the best Drive line assembly to use.. i have a few people telling me to buy the replacement parts kit for a Ntiro Vee.. I like the Dog Bone Connection on the drive out put because i don't really want to make the boat that deep.. because i need a sufficent air-flow to cool the Motor... well i am brain fried right now... but i would really love to have your comments, suggestions, and designs... thanks
Sincerely,
Ryan

what kind of outboard were you looking for? I have a K&B if your looking for one of those. It would probably make your boat haul because it has so much compression that i cant turn over the motor buy hand. Let me know what your looking for i might be able to help.

it totally depends on the hull of your boat. Outboard engines are great for tunnel hulls, hydroplanes, and even deep v's that you want to go fast. I have a tunnel whole with a K&B 7.5 engine that absolutely screams (to fast), so much in fact that i only drove it once all summer, to scary fast. water cooled outboards are cool. If your just starting and tring to get a decently fast boat a K&B 3.5 outboard would be great for you. But really you should just get what is comfortable to you, you dont have to be the fastest as long as your having fun.
