I need a moter and esc for my truck some thing with alot of torque so it will clime the rock's but Iam low on cash. right now I have a sprint esc and a photon speed 20 turn moter.
well, since u want power u want a stovk motor. And i dont think you would need another esc.I think the esc u have now s fine.Maybe u could get the this http://hobbypeople.net/gallery/839081.asp
No, a Monster Horsepower motor would be a very bad choice -- it's made for high RPM's, not speed.
For massive torque without needing a new ESC, this would probably be your best bet:

Those things give ridiculous torque!
o sorry my mistake.....:spam:
are you sure this wimpy 22 turn moter will git me over the rock's what can I git if I by a new esc . still low on cash$$$ thanking of a 17 turn moter
This 22 turn motor is one of the most torquey 540-sized motors (spelled with two o's) available, my friend. It is far from "wimpy." The lower the number of turns a motor has, the less torque it has, as a general rule.
Jang until reading this thread I had totally forgotten about that motor....OMG your right that things is insane torquey....
A buddy of mine had one and traded it for a SG2 because it was to much for his little pan car.....
He said it would just sit and spin the tires...
If you want torque, then thats the motor to go with.....
well if it is that powerful Iam going to git me one. but will it make my truck pop wheeles.
I forgot jang can you tell me how to make 4 link's my brother has been buging me to make him some for his evader st but I dont now how. your the only guy I could thank of that would know how.

4 link suspension? Those have to be done with trucks that have a straight axle set-up. To do one on an Evader would be too darn expensive. Just try getting longer shocks to bottom out the downtravel. It's like how you lift most foreign trucks. Torque down the torsion bar to lose downtravel but gain ground clearance.
can you tell me how to git 4in's of ground clearance on my brother's evader

If you look at the Traxxas Stampede, you see those little drop mounts that everything sits on. That's how you would have to do it. Lower the front and rear A-arms along with the transmission and make a new steering bracket.
is there a way to move the shock's to git the hight I need
You can always relocate them to a lower spot on the shocktower..(move them in a little bit too, it will help with steering) It will make it a bit stiffer, but it will add the height, and stabilty you are looking for...
I cut my rusty rear shock toers almost in half and then moved the socks in so they are almost touching in the rear...The fronts got almost the same treatment, except i didnt move them down, just onto the newly constucted crossmember...(all one piece..)
I did also use front shocks in the rear to keep lower stnce then what the stock rears would have givin me...The stock rears would have given me way to high of a GC for racing, however they are just perfect for what your looking for....
I hope that helps....
thanks were on the tower sould I put them it's a evader not a rustler.
I am not too familiar with that truck , but I would say as low as you feel you need them and as cose together as they will go with out rubbing the chassis tub, or against the shock tower....
You can always dremel off the excess shocktower after your done determining where.....
I hope thats a little better...:)
hay mooi thank's your a pal it gave my brother 3in of gc now me and him can go rock crawling today
Well it's not four but it's way more than normal.....
If you want four you'll have to make longer arms, and use longer shock pistons...
I think the rear arms in the front would add a bit, but i am unsure how much....
( I think the rear arms on the evader are longer then the fronts anyway)
If not don't do it.....
I am glad I could help, have a good time rock crawlin.....
yea it had 1in of gc wen he got it. the rear arm's are the same size as the front's. we well have a good time. by the way he was wonting a t-maxx body on it but he dusint no wut wud look cool on it need some help with that now. do you have a good rock crawling body in mind? got to look cool even on the rock's
p.s how do you git a pic of a ultimate rustler beside your name?
I think the parma SKOOL BUS body would look kewl on it..
I think it's a parma body anyway..
Um any of the proline 190mm bodies will werk..(The hummer SUV is killer)
I don't have mine yet, i cancelled my order to buy a set of pinions for my new truck...
Here is a link to a hummer SUV on a rusty...

I think that would be pretty close to what most rock crawlers look like...
I personally like the skool bus, but it isnt really a crawler body.....
