Anyone here mess with one of these...
I have never used a hi9tec radio or reciever for that matter..
I am looking to get a new radion as my tired beat and un syncronized M-8 has seen better days..( Plus it might be sold)
I looked into another Ko Pro EX-1 mars, but I dont want to spend that for another radio if I can avoid it...
The hitec seems to have all the fetures I want and need, and is super reasonable....( FREE is great...Birthdays rock)
I don't however want to over spend for another radio if this thing werks pretty well...
It wont get to the track too much but I will race with it occasionally...
I have a Ko Pro now as well as my dying M-8 but I am trying to find another radio system to replace the M-8.....
any info would be great thanks......

I have the Lynx. I bought mine last year because it was the only radio with the novak xxtra system. Personally, I like the M8 better. The Lynx has good features but lags a few like Model naming. Its kinda hard to select through models when they are named 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.... but it came out to be a good radio. After I bought it, Novak came out iwth the "Switch" system for the M8.

Personally I would go with M8. The M8 has a better feel to it and the 3rd channel isnt on the LCD display like on the Lynx. The Lynx has a lot of good features but its up to you what you want.

Hope that helps.

I've been using my Lynx for about 9 months now. It has served me faithfully.

If I was on a budget and had to do it again, I'd get the JR XS3. It does nearly everything the HiTec does, and adds nifty features like model naming at a lower cost.

I like the feel of the M8, though the JR is a close second at $100 with Synth Rx.

The only thing about the JR radio is that the reciever that comes with it is only ment for JR systems. The Novak xxtra accepts any radio.

I have decided to get the Hitec...( Price made the decision for me...)
One of the guys I race with is selling his NIB for $100...
I must say after seeing it and playing with it a little bit I like it....altough it could be a little more comfortable in my hand...( It will be soon...new grip wrap from uncle mikes guns will fix that, and a new wheel..rom my futaba magnum pro.._ thats been dead for like 10 years)
All in all I say the Ko Pro is still the better of the three, with the M-8 and hitec about even considering the price differences......they are both pretty quality, and you always get what you pay for......
