The father of one of my friends owns a Tamiya Falcon. It's a buggy that was built in the late 80s (I think). Started out as a racing buggy, and was eventually converted to a pan car. One thing that really sticks out in my mind is the cage around the motor. It's pretty much retired now, as replacement parts are no longer available, except from some guy in the UK who has a whole stash load of them.

Does it come whith electronics?
I dug my falcon out of storage about 3 weeks ago. Surprisingly, my 15+ year old Tamiya battery took a charge from the MRC trickle charger and the car runs. Looks alot like that picture posted above, except the body is missing the back half, just behind the rear shocks. The rear tires are completely bald, the spikes are simply gone.
(Un?)fortunately, getting that old Falcon running has started a chain of events which has resulted in the purchase of 3 new batteries, a new charger, a new Traxxis Stampede and a new Tamiya Volkswagen Beetle kit. I've also spent too much time trying to get my old Frog and Rough Rider running.

I've got an old Nikko car that resembles that one. Judging from what other people here have said about ones that they owned, its at least 17 years old.
Seems to me like a lot of the really old cars out there use that design, as well as some current toy cars. As well as the traxxas spirit. Although the falcon at least has some decent front suspesnion to prevent weird camber or wheelbase changes.

i picked up a tamiya falcon from a friend for 10 bucks. i kept the radio, servos, and charger and threw the falcon out. the cage on the motoer was gon already, so i dont feel too bad about it.

Any one still interested in a Falcon? I happen to have my old one that I recently dug out of storage. I ran it twice before my 4 year old got ahold of the controller and broke it :(
I bought a new rustler and am in the process of getting my wife to agree to a new Revo. I can send pics if anyone is interested. It is complete except for the radio and the body has been gone for years. It is is actually in really good shape, a few of the screw holes are crack on the front bumper and the servo screw holes where broke and then glued. But MSC worked great and it currently has the stinger motor from my rustler in it.
Anyway if anyone is interested please send emails to rescuer36@yahoo.com

The falcon rear end is the same one used on the Tamiya Striker and Sonic Fighter. All three of these cars have parts available on Ebay. Ebay has everything.
