Would it be possible to put a longer antenna on a Bit Char-G? Has anybody done it before?

I haven't tried it. I only assumed they would use the optimal length. If longer was better, I would think that they would have longer antenna stock.

OK, thanks. I was just wondering. OK, I'm done.

Actually the Huale models I've begun to get in have longer antennas, as do the "booster set" ones with the 2-speed ESC's.

Sooooo, it would work if I put a longer antenna on?

Sounds like a good experiment for you to do. Let us know what you find out. My gut feeling is that it won't make the range any longer though.
People have gotten verified better radio range by switching to longer transmitter antennas (the 4-band controller has a shorter antenna than the standard one, hence the motivation for a swap), so who knows.

What kind of wire would I use for the Tx antenna?
It's like very fine music wire. I'd actually recommend doing something stiff instead, like mounting a regular R/C transmitter antenna to it.

I'll try that. I have box-loads of electrical fittings and plugs. (Lucky me)

ya, I read a post somewhere in a forum about putting a telescoping antenna on the tx.
