Well I have a Tsunami. I ripped all the stock parts out such as reciever and servo and such. I modified the stock servo saver and mount to use a Hitec servo and put a 13x2 Speed Gems motor in it with a Streak speed control. It's way faster than the stock equipment, I'll try to post some pics later.

wow cool
traxxboy - the Radio shack boat is slow compared to the blast. I don't have a blast but I have 4 of the RS ones and they only go about 6 MPH and I know the blast is somewhere in the 12 - 18 MPH. But the RS boats are still cool they are just real wide and heavy IMO. I've changed the prop, shaft, motor, and nothing is really helping me. I did water cool the ESC and motor and that helped a lot keeping that heat sink above the ESC cool to the touch.

I have one of these boats too. They are a lot of fun. I too am looking for a faster electric motor for mine and I know nothing about R/C boat motors.
Can anyone help?
I am looking for a new prop that is better than the stock one also.
Thanks.
