I drive around some sharp, bowling ball size rocks in my pede and its really fun, even though the truck isnt built right to do it. Its geared too high to have enough low end torque to really crawl, combined with 2wd and an open diff the only way i can make progress is with massive wheel spin. My Masher 2000's balloon a huge amount they get about 2" bigger in diameter and about 2" wide. Does anyone crawl witha properly equipped pede?

I am slowly building up my pede for rockcrawling. Lock the diff with ca glue or jb weld. 30wt oil for the shocks.

yea bobby, that will work good, but also try this...instead of getting new tires turn the stock ones backwards so its like a V going forward instead of an ^ it adds SERIOUS traction.

And trx_srt im going to have a really well equipped crawler
custom 4x4 conversion(2 motors, 2 rear ends...DUH)
locked front diff, very limited slip front diff
Dual 23 turns
12 cells
custom aluminum stuff (wheelie bar, skid plates ect.)
backwards stock tires
and losi white springs alll the way around for massive articulation.

My pede has 5x11 bearings all around, masher 2000's, RPM bumper, trinity 16x3 motor, and explorer 2 esc. its geared 18/87 so it doesnt have enough low end for crawling but still does ok.

rockcrawling with 4x4's are great, i did it when i had my crawler, like 2 weeks ago, it kept with a TXT-1, may not believe that, but it stayed right behind it, my setup was, 20w oil, stock traxxas springs, 13/87 with 12 cells and 2 titans and pullers, also backwards!

worked EXCELLENT! definately do it!

I have TONS of power in my 2wd Stampede Hacker C40 setup running 9 cells, but its crawls for crap. You need traction, traction, traction and some torque. Finding adequate torque for crawling is very easy - Just don't use stingers.

see the clod tires have good traction because the just form to stuff like rocks ETC. but there size makes it so you have very little torque thats why im now getting a ClodBuster to solve me rock crawling needs.
