well I got them on and now the wait for the weekend when I can really give them the stress test. the have 3 complaints, 1 when you install them you have to get things a little on the tight side so there is no leak, 2 there is no play at the shock tower where they mount and 3 you have to cut a hole in the stock shock bladder. the second may not be a probablem just a concern the third I would like to have seen a O ring to seal the top of the shock instead of reusing the bladder.
here they are on the truck (http://www.rcpics.net/img/17958)
I agree they should have supplied o-rings. The foam will do the same basic job as the bladders in that it should compensate for the oil displaced by the shock shafts when compressed. Also more oil and in theory less air bubbles when worked hard. I'm thinking that Traxxas o-rings might be the right size. That way you would have to worry about the bladders shifting which they often do;causing leaks.

where did you find the working ones i heard they were coming out but did not now that they were already.
Thyese are not the MGT ones;that last response from Associated being they were not planned at this time. They are reported thinking about aluminum caps to go with the aluminum shock bodies they say. You can see these at www.neweramodels.com

 the last 2 hours was tons of fun. the truck can really fly well. although at low speeds jumps can be interesting. then again it was more the driver (me) not approaching the jump correctly. once you get it high enough the truck will just about level it self out, just needs a hint of direction and that is it. I was atlest 4 1/2 feet into the air befor bottoming out would happen, this is with stock springs, stock damping disks, 50wt oil front and 60wt oil in the rear. I am glad to report no leaks and only a lost screw for one of the bell cranks. :d I can olny turn one direction for so long. in all if you want some working piggybacks there will be no big increases in handling however they look good. and did I mention they are fuctional?
