This may boil down to how much you want to spend from the potential feed back.

I have Ko Propo Mars R, Hitec Aggressor CRX and Airtronic MX3. If I had a chance to do it again I wouldn't buy the Mars R. For what I use it for it wasn't best value, too many features gone unused. The MX3 was best value of my trio and has all the functions you'll need for a MT, but my favouite to use is the Hitec. I got along with it straight away and I like the way it looks and feels. Having said that the MX3 feels good as well.

The function "must haves" are, throttle and steering expotential and end point adjustments, everything else is a bonus, sub-trim is useful as well as throttle-up function (this helps when you're starting the truck). I think most people will have their own favorite if they've been into RC for a while. The JR XR3i is said to be a good set as well.

In my opinion, the dominate 3ch FM radios are all degees of good. It's about what you like the look of and what you're willing to pay.

I use the Futuba PJS PCM but it's not available anmore. I really like PCM for bashing and think the cost is worth it. One of the main things to get with MT radio is to make sure the third channel is or can be assigned to a button to control reverse easily if you bash. Mine is assigned to a button above my thumb and programed to rev. when tapped. Many have a dial you have to turn which is a pain. I have also had Airtronics Caliper;M8 and JR1. What evr you get make sure it is confortable in your hands;as that makes a world of difference.

A Futaba 3-PDF is a great choce as well. It is set at a good price at $120 w/out servos. I own one and use it to race and bash. Many nitro people use it because it is known to never glitch.

I bought an extra receiver for my JR XS3 so I can run my RC10GT and MGT with the same radio. It is a crystal less radio so I can choose all channels on the 75mhz band through software on the radio. No crystals to change.:D It also has a tonne of features to set up the servos just right.

I agree with Nitro Flash. I think the JR XS3 is the way to go!! If you have ever gone to race or to bash and you can't because someone is on your frequency, your done till it is your turn. You won't have that problem with this radio, all you have to do is change frequencies. It so easy to do it and you can play all day. I love mine and I have 3 rc's on it. I have a Nitro TC3, a Savage 21 w/picco 26, and of course the MGT. You gotta love this hobby!!!
