Currently bone stock and already broke a few things. Rear Diff box case was ripped, Axle Carriers broke, and pull start broke.   After all, I didn't bash the MGT really hard. Anyway, just wonderin if there's any hop ups for the MGT? Is there an online store? I don't really want to get stock parts since it looks very weak to me. I looked through ebay and found nothing!:spam:

Don't mean to criticize, but the things you mentioned breaking are not from normal crashing. What did you hit? Those breaks usually are from skatepark, pole, curb, things like that.
As for aftermarket, it is way too new. There are a couple things out, as we have proseries cooling heads already, and some shock parts, but that's about it. I know that you can use rpm axle carriers from the t-maxx on it, just need special spacers in between the bearings.
OH, and a user friendly tip on the pullstart, don't yank on it. Pull it out an inch or so till it's tight, then pull, and don't pull it all the way out. You'll hard ever have a problem if you follow those 2 rules. Also, don't keep pulling if it feels flooded, you will get no where fast.

there are companies working on after market parts however it will be some time before they hit hobby shops and be plenty of parts to go around.
Ripped diff and broken pull start. In a word, Misuse. I'm a Basher and I spent quite a bit to get my 2.5 Maxx as robust as the MGT came OTB. A pull start should last at least until your engine needs a rebuild unless you've been pulling it out to the 'stop'. (which you shouldn't do).
I think some have watched some vids and have a false sense of how robust these MT's are. Just to give an idea of how hard I play with my toys, I've bent the Twin Vertical Plates on my Savage.
If you're going to be a Basher you have to take on board that things are going to break. How tough can any manufacturer build these MT's and keep the cost down. Twelve pounds of plastic and metal, high speed, big landings plus crashes. Let's be real, somethings gotta give. Most Bashers I hang out with build up a 'spares bin' and keep a little cash on the side just for the truck.
I mentioned on a different thread that these things will keep your wallet busy. If you bought into the hobby blind all I can say is Play and Learn because if you've watched any vids, what you didn't see is the out-takes where those guys were fixing what they broke.
I took a couple of months after the Savage came out before parts started to trickle through and then it was only parts like skid plates and steering turnbuckles and tank guards. I'm sure all the main players are working on it. Hardcore Racing has a few bits.
That's why the supermaxx guys spend the 2000-3000 on thier trucks;trying to make them bullet proof and they still break pillowballs etc. Bashing is much harder on trucks than the prepared race tracks . Ever see one of those motorcycle stunt jumps when the bike fails to land on the sloped ramp and hits flat ground? One reason it's better to learn to jump on a prepared track. Frim what I have seen this is one is one opf the tough pullstarts.

Lunsford Racing has a turnbuckle set with ball ends. I just ordered a set for mine as I stretched one of the ball ends at the race track.
