Yes, I'm finally getting my first car. It's not much on the eyes, but it was free! It's worth $2000, so I consider it a good deal. I will probably have it for about 6 months. Oh, forgot to tell you what it is. An '88 Toyota Camry. Looks something like this (http://i4.ebayimg.com/01/i/00/fd/0e/02_1.JPG), except gold.

Well, it doesn't have airbags, so my parents aren't going to let me drive it much (only to really local places).

And the "stuggle of epic proportions" wouldn't be much of a "battle" between a '91 Volvo 940 Turbo and a '88 Camry.

Madrusty, Me and you are CAR BUDDIES!! haha!! I've also got an 88' toyota camry, its a 2.5 liter V6 and Its got aluminum wheels power everything. The paint is immaculate due to the almost weekly waxing it gets during the summer. These things will run forever if taken care of properly, just keep and eye on the cv joint boots and the tranny fluid. is yours a I4 and auto or manual?? Mine looks alot like this one except for the wheels

I know its automatic, but I don't know anything else about it. I also know it doesn't have power windows:mad:

Speaking of that, when my dad heard the news, he said "no way." So now we're thinking of selling it (around $1000?) and using the money for my real car.

I think you can do without power windows. Hell, I would take crank windows over power windows, since the power windows are more likely to fail due to electrical problems.
