Bigger engine in MGT

Hi guys, i'm planning to get myself the this friggin huge truck, but i have seen the vids and some comments, it seems the engine is really not very impressive....well, atleast to me that is.

Is it possible to fit maybe like a .50 engine into this baby or maybe the ek4's .70 without any modifications? Or can someone recommend a really more powerful engine for this truck?

I would be ordering this car very very soon so i hope someone can help me out here....

I Hear great things about the .26 Wasp.

It is supposed to have alot of :bling: with the .26 power

i have a mgt with a wasp and if you think it flies now sheeww it really goes with the wasp. not dis'n the stock mill cause i think it does great but the wasp made it alot more fun if i can keep the dang tranny together

u hva eto bulletproof the tranny-- since the power of a bigger engine will just keep stripping your geares-- alot of people talk about putting the gears from the savage cuz they are metal into the gt and it workled fine--

got a picco .26 installed on my MGT plus changed gears from savage and u can imagine my truck chasing them buggies and running them over:)

Did you do any other mods other than the Wasp .26? Shocks, gears? and how was the wasp on break-in

I had the werks modified .26 in my gt and did nothing else but change the spur gear and the clutchbell and the truck screamed and i never had a tranny problem. And as far as the stock motor goes gt-4 you will be suprised how fast it really is. My friend left the stock motor in his and once he leaned it out it was beating some savage 25's.

I like mine very well. As far as the .46;you might be disappointed in the top speed with a two speed. The .46 is a lowend enginewhich is why CEN used a three speed.If you are a machinest you could make parts to use that engine'especially the upgrade of the drivetrain to handle the power.I know you have probably read people say that AE said it was design to handle a .50. That rumor came from a Cliff Lett interview in which he said that he would have like to design the truck to use a .50. But he didn't design the truck and that's a big difference. The truck was designed to handle a .21. After your on your own in upgrade to handle more.

I love my MGT I just put in a Wasp .28. Will be breaking it in this weekend. I will post next week with the results.

I bet the wasp .28 is pretty good. I heard good things about the .26, so i will be awaiting results.

has anyone seen the new .28 and .30 engines comming out there is a sh 28 and wasp 28 as well as a picco 30 by werks in the plans do you think the monster gt drive train can handle the extra power

well i ran4 gallons thru the stock 21 on my monster gt didnt break a thing on it the whole 4 gallons. then i put the wasp 28 on it and now it fun again had to upgrade tranny but worth the thrill. oh and the stock 21 still runs great
