I should be getting my MGT by Wednesday!!!! Can't wait. I just was curious if anyone here has first hand experience with running the Hot Bodies 7" wheels and tires. I'm specifically talking about the Psycho wheels with Mayhem tires. I know that they are heavier than the Pro-Line Series 40's wheels/tires. But they do look more appropriate on the BIG MGT! I see that there is a couple of pictures in the photo gallery of one truck with the HB tires/wheels installed. Are they holding up? Or are they weak?
THANKS!
They're very tough, look sweet, but HEAVY. I run them on my .26 Terra Crusher. Anything less than the Picco .26 is at quite a disadvantage when trying to spin those big ole heavy meats.

I like the idea and lOOk, BUT, I don't want anything that will hender & hamper the performance of my truck. The weight of rotating mass makes a BIG difference on performance of ANY vehicle.
The most I'll do is go to some Big Joes 40-series wheels and tires.
The Hot Bodies look good but are too heavy and will affect the trucks performance quite dramatically. If you don't upgrade your battery to hump and get strong steering servo I wouldn't bother.
After a bad landing from about 5ft I managed to damage mine (warp). They weigh about 20 oz. vs the Proline w/ Big Joes which weigh almost the same as the stock wheels and the Proline with Boe Ties weigh less than stock.
If you think you might jump the truck, I'd recommend the 40 series Dirt Hawgs or Mashers. The reason I recommend these is the sidewalls are a little taller, affording the wheel a 'little' more protection on bad or heavy landings.

I have the one in the gallery. The tires are heavy, but very durable rims and tires. I would suggest upping the rx pack or servo if possible. Also, the stock motor will get a workout with them, but the .26 has no problems with wheelies and the HB rims, let alone spinning them endlessly.
For performance, go with 40 series all the way. Lightweight, perfect size, and slightly wider offset than stock. They look good on the truck.
