Even though I have had it almost 3 weeks I started building it yesterday. I bought a tamiya TLT-1 the same day and my son talked me into building it first.
I was disapointed that the front and rear axels were built. I like building kit. The instructions are great. When I built my daughters traxxas Stampede the instructions sucked.
Is everyone useing the novak evx? Anyone try the mtroniks supertruck esc?
So has anyone got theirs out and run it? My 11 year old is giving me all kinds of greif that he will kick my *ss with his E-maxx (that comes from me killing him daily with my sirio t-maxx) I ha ve never had a Mad Force before so I am not sure what to expect.

are there any others but the motroniks and the evx? Mtromniks are waterproof but since we have a enclosed case thats not as important

I'm going with the evx only because of price, wiring and installation.
i heard installation is a bolt up affair.
i found the evx for $100 at hobby people (http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/628014.asp)

I paid the extra $49 and went with the Mtroniks. After searching the E-Maxx forums I have found alot of unsatisfied people. I read way to many posts about people smoking their evx's and having to send them in more than once for repair. I have not found to many people with the Mtroniks, but between the water proof feature and higher current handling I went with it.
Time will tell if it was a good choice or not. Even though the Twin Force has a good cover for the receiver and speed control, I am a little concerned about air flow for the speed control when the weather gets hot, so it would be nice to be able to leave the cover off and splash through a puddle without worry.

If you have a waterproof esc then you can mount it somewhere else. Or even on top of the cover
