removal of the front one-way?

i heard some guy on rcmt has a fix using the rear joint and a spacer.
i checked the front joint length against one of the axel joints and there the same size.
I'm gonna order one asap and try it out.
i have no way to grind a flat spot on the shaft but i thought i would drill a recess hole and tighten the grub screw into that.
what do you guys think?

just by a file at a hardware store and file a flat spot with that.
