I was wondering if anyone knew if traxxas was planning on making a e-revo (electric revo)?

no i don't think so but that would be Kick'n. new faster stronger motors then the titans MMMMMM power.
i don't why they won't make an electric truck that had the sew suspension. its just that the truck wouldn't have the curved chassis and some ther things. BUT i think we can count on a E truck with the revo suspension.

Focus on what we have invested in. "our" Emaxxs' will conquer all. As far as a new engine, just go get your own.
RS-755VC Mabuchi. Thats all you need.
It would be nice for Traxxas to engineer their own motors, instead of buying "off the shelf" can motors from Mabooch.
Wouldn't it be cool to have fully rebuildable motors with large diameter comms and big beefy brushes? If they were to use rare-earth magnets, they can achieve awesome power levels without resorting to larger motors.
Or maybe partner up with Novak again, and make brushless power standard.
In any case, I hope an electric version of the Revo is in the works!
i am actually kinda glad that they havent came out with a new emaxx cause i just got mine at x-mas.
I just got my E two months ago. I figure if TRX is gonna do a E-Revo, they'll do it next year. Don't want to waste all your ammo all at once.
I resisted buying an E-Maxx because of the "too" factor. As in 2 times the batteries, 2 chargers, 2 motors to maintain. Luckily, it is about 2 times as fun.

I do not think that they will come out with an e-revo because the demand is not that high. Nitro monster trucks are a lot more popular that electric monster trucks. There is no real competition for the e-maxx. For the t-maxx there was tons so traxxas had to whip out something because all of those other monsters were taking a part of their profit. If they do come out with a e-revo I would be one of the first ones in line to buy it but I highly doubt it will happen.
Also my 2000 dollar hunk of raw power bl racemaxx will still see most of the use unless traxxas can figure out a way to use only one battery to power the whole truck which is far away unless they use lipos which are highly expensive and dangerous for begineers.
It would be great for them to design one but do I see it happening? No.

I think they will release a an e-revo when all the hype dies down about the nitro revo.
will they release one? its possible...will it have a BL?....hah!
i don't think we will see a car from traxxas that comse with a BL. traxxas is focusing mainly on beginner market, the cost of BL would make the price to high.
though they are focusing primarily on the beginner market (rustlers, stampedes, and maxx's are great beginner vehicles) the REVO is a racer. it seems that traxxas is finally getting back into the racing scene, maybe there is a possibility to see a traxxas racing team once again.
and if anyone wonders, the T-maxx probably won't be discontinued or even forgotten. the sheer number of T's is staggering...and that is a huge source of income for the traxxas.
and would i sell my E-maxx for an E-revo? never! i put too much time and money into my truck to sell for 700 dollars (top dollar i could probably get if i parted it out). if they did release one i would wait to see if there are any flaws in the design, then i would save up the cash. BUT my E-maxx would probably get most of the running time.
I doubt they will. I mean, they made the sportmaxx, but did they make an electric version? No. It all depends on the sale of the Revo. If it sells, and nobody has problems with the setup, they may make an electric version. I think the price is way too much though, I heard its gonna be about 100 bucks more than a 2.5 maxx now. Guess Ill stick with buying a savage ss.

I've heard rumors of an BL Emaxx using the new Novak maxx brushless system. Funny thing is that I heard the same rumor from 2 LHS's.

keyword, rumor:spam: when the revo comes out just buy it and slap the emaxx transmition on it. Obviously you would have to modify it a bit htough.:p

Revo with a emaxx tranny and the HVMaxx BL at $550 would sell like nuttz.
Not to mention give BL a kick in the arse for solidifying there own class.
I was also just thinking , you could make a special motor plate that mounts to the chassis that would hold 2 electric motors that both hit the spur gear, find a way to mount 1 battery pack with 2 mod motors, and do the evx mod where you make it so that it can run 2 motors on 7.2volts.
If they do make one, we won't know for a long time. Probably not until around 2006

This guy was off by 2 years, but I don't think anybody expected it to take 4 years for traxxas to make the E Revo.
