being your first plane, it will be harder to break than some other types. however, i wouldnt suggest a flying wing for your first plane. they are fast and twitchy. you will spend a lot of time crashing this thing, and it might get very frustrating. i would suggest a gws slow stick as your first plane, so that you can get the hang of it and actually have fun, then if you wanna try the wing out, go for it. at least you will have a back up plane if the wing proves too dificult to fly. just my 2 cents

I just sarted flying a Northern sailplanes products elipstick and it is not a beginners plane. The slinger might be tamer but my elipstick is a dart. I will be doing a high speed pass 1 foot off the deck and barly touch the stick and it will dart streight up (or god forebid down). A tutor or something is better for a beginner.

Hmm... John is right about the slinger being hard to damage, and hard to fly. I would also have to recomend the Slow Stick. It may be ugly, but it is easy to fly and will do more than you may think it will.
