Just been out for the first test run with my Giga Crusher, pretty kewl truck  One thing that some people think is anoying with the Mad Force is missing with the Giga Crusher itīs the wheelies... I miss them :( Any how, the handling is amazing and the problem with dual engine is nothing to wory about, with a little adjustment it runs wery smooth. I think this truck can be a major hill climber becouse of the weight over the front axel, i will give you more info as soon that i have tried som dirt racing with it. Any one else who have this monster in their garage? Recomendations? Problems?

I'll say hello to all first as I'm new here on this forum - this Giga crusher is my first Kyosho MT and all is going well..

Have had it a few weeks now - pretty imprerssed...it has taken a few bashings, no breakages, just niggly things - like carb and slider linkages coming loose (collar around low speed needle), brake linkage coming loose and jamming brake. Just a dab of screwlock and retighten cured it:D

It will wheelie forward and reverse, but watch out, the rubber exhaust mufflers can pop off when dragging on the floor - just remember the location you heard the exhaust go loud and go looking for them. I am working on a smaller stronger muffler or heatshrink tubing to keep the two rubber pieces together..

Standard MT bodies will also fit, just remove the air scoop and use high flow/motor saver type foam filters with the giga hood scoop elbows- they will fit in there.. also watch the body width around the roof area as the giga crusher body is slightly wider to fit the roll cage/twin engines.
I also made a savage type roll bar to fit under the standard body to save the roof a little..

Thats about it, as you said, handles well, no plastic breakages (yet) and cant just stop those power slides;) just hope spares are not a nightmare!!

Have fun all..

About the wheelies... When all adjustment was done its no problem to pop a wheelie when ever you hit the trottle fast :) Ive got a crunch sound, probably the rear diff. Got to check it out before any more driving

I'm intresed to se how this thing hold up.
Is the axles and the rest of the drivetrain dimensioned for the power of dual engines? and on the pictures it look's quite plastic, plastic have an nasty habbit to break.

I managed to get it mail order out of Hong Kong, but as always, watch out for shipping and customs charges:mad:

Not sure about your 'diff' noises, had no troubles here but I guess its a matter of time.. considering the TCD upgrade is an option. Check your brake linkage adjustments as it made mine sound like the center gearbox was bad..

As for the drivetrain for twin engines, I've noticed the dogbones are stronger, not like some other MT's where they are thinner at the ends, so I guess they shouldn't snap.. and as for the diff's and 3 speed transmission, time will tell eh??;)

it uses the same exac setup as a qrc car like the blizzard or baja buggy it clicks from the center because there is this little pine that engages it in forw or revr and as the pin slids it makes a cliking noise as for the rear diff it is the exact same as what is in the madforce i would suggest check the ring and pinion screws if they are not fine threaded i would change them other wise they could back out

The pinion gear was #%/%) They use the same as in MF Readyset (MA050) in the rear axel of the Giga.... Kinda week if u ask me, but they wount sell any optionparts if they build something good from the begining ^_^ Now im going to use the pinion parts from the Kanai and use 4 instead of 2 planetwheels hopfully that solves the problem.

actully id take the front and rear apart replace the screws and add the extra gears that needed to be done on the madforce also or go out and by the tcd diff it includes everthing and should be the exact same

Just got the twin giga crusher at the store I work at!!! I cant beleive how heavy duty the arms look. at first glance this looks to be another great truck from Kyosho. I just hope the reverse holds up to the two engines.
the only other problem is the price $$$$. I think it may be out of reach for some people to get this truck for that simple reason. when you can go out and buy a savage for half the price its a tough sell!!!

I want one of these. How durable is it, and does it have a slipper clutch?

I would imagine that theres some sort of slipper in there. I'll have to open the kit and take a peek at the instructions. I'll let you know

yes there is a slipper and its got the largest spring avalible and the qrc looks to be built verry heavy burring assembly about the only thing i was not happy with was the throtle linkage but a little tinkering and i fixed the slack but the rest of the truck is built top notch and by far is built heaver than the twin titan

Guys,
My son is getting a Gigacrusher for xmas - as we have trashed & rebuilt the T-maxx, where can I get new parts/hopups for the gigacrusher??
Are they common with other Kyosho trucks?

I found some aftermarket shocks!
Just took the Integy MSR5 piggyback shocks off the T-maxx & bolted them in.
NOW it rocks!
We took it dune-bashing in the desert and it sailed up'n'over anything we could find and landings were superb.
On gravel, the MSR5's are brilliant aswell - the truck handles even better now.
BTW - the exhaust mufflers suck bigtime. I am trying to fabricate replacement extensions from copper plumbers flexi-pipe - I will update once the swearing is over.
Also, the plastic bits will have to be replaced sooner or later, and I will machine some replacements - If anyone else is interested in buying some from me, just let me know at : ken.eaton@eim.ae and I can price up to see if it is worth me making for other people at the same time.
