Now there is associated rc18t. What is better?
speedy?
run time?

Well, I would say the RC18t because its alot lighter. It would also depend on your gearing but yea the RC18t is faster.
how coulkd anyone tell you this? no one has one yet. but it would most likley be the rc18t. the mini quake is heavier and has bigger tires.
We'll have to see.
Big tires will help the MQ be faster, rather than slower. Its more that the motor has to rotate, but bigger tires mean more surface area to grab with, so higher speeds are possible. Ever notice how drag race funny cars, nascars, indy cars, etc. all have large rear tires? Same reason.
And the MQ is heavier, but the final gear ratio (not counting tires) for the MQ is alot lower than the rc18t. The rc18t is 11.46:1 ratio and the MQ is 6.333:1 (meaning that it takes 11.46 rotations of the motor on the rc18t per 1 rotation of the tires. Or for the MQ it takes 6.333 rotations of the motor per 1 rotation of the tires). So the MQ will rotate the tires and nearly twice the speed of the rc18t. However, this requires more torque to accomplish, hence why the MQ comes with a 380-size motor stock and the rc18t comes with a 280-size motor stock.
*if you are wondering how I figured this out, its by using a ratio calculator at www.easy-rc.com. Just have to add your own car and input the transmission gear ratio (or in the case of the rc18t and MQ, the ratio in the differentials). For these cars, the MQ is 2.533 and the rc18t is 2.5. Then you just input the stock pinion/spur for each one and it puts out the final gear ratio (not counting tires).*
The main thing I like about the rc18t is that its quick out of the box like the MQ, and its agile on a track. I think if you put a stock rc18t against a losi mini-t pro (using stock motor. both 6-cell nimh packs), the rc18t will definetely win on the track. The mini-t is RWD and is rear-heavy to boot, while the rc18t is center heavy, but 4WD.
I was actually going to buy an rc18t (infact my LHS called cuz my preorder rc18t was instock, but I turned it down). Only reason I turned it down was because they have yet to race Mini-Ts on the micro-specific carpet track, which is because they haven't built the jumps yet. And since the 4WD micro truck scene hasn't built up enough, its not likely they will have a class for them yet (heck, they even told me to wait if I planned on racing). So I'm going to wait until Jan/Feb next year to get one.
But for those of you with rc18ts in your hands and a mamba or other small brushless setup sitting around......have a go at it and let us know. The rc18t can mount 280 and 300 size motors right out of the box and works with all micro pinions. And since the final gear ratio is so high (mini-t is about the same ratio. 2.71 tranny and 14/60 pinion/spur. so it is 11.62:1) it can easily be pushed by a brushless system.
