Well,
I'm in Australia and got my Giga with everything including servos and transmitter and receiver etc for $800 AUD... Bargin

I've so far put 3 tanks through it and only had one small problem with it locking up. I fixed this by putting it into reverse then forward a couple of times and this sorted it out.

Well I thought I'd never change from my Savage SS (which I still have) and the Giga is great, the build wuality and layout is fantastic, with only one gripe. The roll cage is crap, the plastic is flimsy, but i guess it's to keep the weight down.

Starting the engines isn't too bad especially considering they are new and not yet worn in, much easier than it was for the savge to start off with..

With the 3rd tank it's now started to hit 2nd gear, The take off is amazing can't wait till it's fully worn in. The fuel consumption is a lot, very thirsty. I gues being new engines and rear exhausts the spitting of oil / fuel is normal? At the moment I'll get roughly 5- 8 mins out of it. With the Savage SS I get on average 30mins!!

One thing for sure is, running on one engine (still wearing in) it's a dog, but with two look out!!!

PS - here's the link for the Ebay Auction where I got the Giga!!

Nice! :) I'm thinking of buying this truck. Can you recommend it? How is it compared with the Savage?

Well, I've now run 5 tanks through it. It certainly moves, not hitting 3rd yet but even still I'm very impressed. Starting to lean it out, even with the extra wait it goes, even with one engine running it's now not too bad, I've just got to watch out when accelerating, becomes a little unstable, well at least with me behind the wheels.

All up so far I'm very impressed, not sure if it could take the beating my Savage does (I absolutely hammer the poor thing, but keeps on going).

It's a hard decision between the 2. For me I'll use the save for when I really want to go bashing on dirt and jumps etc. The Giga I'll use a bit more subtly on not so quite rough stuff, and use it too especially to impress friends. Can't go wrong either way.

One other thing, the Giga, its way easier to get to the radio box and battery box which is a dam pain on the Savage...

Cheers

lol yea the radiobox on the savage is really annoying, but other than that it rocks.
Striffy, how is the suspension on the giga? how do u compare it with the savage suspension?

I have had my Giga for 2 months. It is fully broken in and it is amazing.

I have over 6 nitro cars and trucks . This truck has so much power !!! The engines start very easy and have yet to stall out.

When it hits 3rd gear, she realy starts to move. It will pull wheelies all day long in grass and dirt. Just be carefull not to over due the wheelies , you will rip off the silencers from the exhaust. We need wheelie bars for this thing.

It is heavy so jumping will not be great. I find it to be very stable even on pavement.

So far I am still very impressed and it gets everones attention.

I found the suspension to be almost identical, probably a little more stable due to being heavier and slightly wider. PS if you go to savage central theres a mod for the Battery relocation which is awesome, getting the parts to do it.

I've already had the silences 'fall off' made the mistake to pick them up 'ouch' dam hot.

I'm very happy so far, one thing I've got on it which helps is 2 Ofna primer/ filters on each fuel line, just pump the 'ball' to prime the engine, helps heaps!!

Cheers

hey striffy
i use to use the ofna primers just be careful they tend to let air in the line after being used a while and will make the motor run lean it seems were the metal meets the rrubber was were my problem was

Cheers,
I have accidently primed too much, and they come off pretty easy, has anyone seen any alternatives to the Ofna ones?

kyosho makes a kind of primer for the blizzard it screw to the top of the tank i dont have my truck assembled yet so i really can not say were to put it yet it works like a in line prime the gas line goes in to it and then comes back out and to the motor if you know what i saying how long have you had you giga is there anything you can suggest besides what is posted also to save you head ache get some 15 or 20mm machine screw and replace the screws that hold the ring gear to the diff the stock ones tend to back out over time ( had to do on my madforce ive also added the extra spiders inside the diff )

Cool, thanks for the info
I had the Giga for 2 weeks now. I've put 7 tanks in it. not sure what I can suggest, except for a fail safe. I haven't had time to complete go through the manual (I bought it already put together.) but when the radio is of the throttle opens up, not what you want. I couldn't find a return spring for the throttle, so have to look into it, if it's suppose to or not???

I'm in the process of setting the idle, which involves removing the linkage to join the throttles together, starting one engine (while holding in the throttle on the carb and adjusting, then repeating the process on the 2nd motor). then the problem of linking them back together and trying to avoid any slack, otherwise one usually idels too high.

Mind you, it all fun, it it definately moves, I'll wait till it's properly worn in and put it against my savage!!!!

yea i not really to happy with the throtle set up either i put in some copper bushings for the wierd cantalever that opens the carbs and run down to the bottom to the servo as for a fail safe bough tit with the truck as for a return spring assosiates and losi bolth sell a set for a return sprin it includes these stupid tabs and a couple springs for about 2 dollars or use a spring for a cluch that has the wrap around spring also im no pro but kyosho cars are my thing the motors are made for abn so dont let it over heat try to keep it about 250 at the highest and youll get over 3 gallons of fuel through the motors before a rebuild im also toying with the idea of puttting 2 fs 40 in it but well se how it is with the 2 strokes first im mainly using this truck for a shelf queen slash strret runer as for wheelies have you seen any yet
