Notice: Buyer Beware, E-Bay Sales

Issues concerning unauthorized OFNA products have recently been brought to our attention. Gray market kits and products bearing the OFNA name are being sold via 3rd party sources which are not official OFNA products, generally from outside the US. Also we have heard of kits being sold on E-Bay which are lacking components or are possibly stolen.

How can you tell if the kit you are about to purchase is official merchandise? Your kit will come in an OFNA box, with OFNA literature inside, but most importantly your box will carry the official OFNA factory seal. Prospective buyers should check these items before purchase. If the seal is broken, OFNA reserves the right to decline warranty, although this will be taken on a case per case basis.

OFNA Warranties are Non-Transferable.

This means if you purchase a kit or products via a 2nd or 3rd party and you develop a warranty issue, you will have to go back to the Original Seller. The Original Seller must then initiate the warranty process (via an authorized hobby store or dealer) on behalf of the new owner.

Only OFNA authorized hobby stores and dealers may initiate the warranty process. Authorized OFNA vendors must have an ACTIVE account with Great Planes or Horizon Hobbies.

I would just like to say if it is made by a company called HoBao or Hongnor it is OK. HoBao is the manufacturer for the Hyper series of buggies and cars, while Hong nor do the MBX buggies if i remember rightly. Ofna distrubutes these kits for the companies in the U.S. under their own brand name "OFNA". so if you see one of the kits sold under that name internationally that is why.

thanks for the info dude.i remember when the mini quakes first came out i baught the anderson brand from ebay for a lot less wich is the one i have pictured in my avatar.my friend decided not to follow my route and paid the extra for his duratrax brand wich are both the same.after we recieved them we compared them and ran them together and later he admitted he got the bad deal cause he paid a lot more for electronics he never used and paid a higher price then me for the same rig.anyways, after that i then got on urc and told the peeps here about the better deal.
anyways now i will find these other name brand and purchase them too.its cool that overseas want a hand in the money jar too by putting out there own cheaper rtr's with a different name.
