I have a traxxas chassis that a guy gave me several years ago. It's narrow like a buggy with high body posts like a truck. The tub is white and it has a black aluminum tranny/motor mounting plate. A pede body will fit on it nicely but the chassis sits low like a buggy. The tranny is shaped just like the pede except it's got a slipper clutch. The shock towers are a black fiberglass looking material. I want to turn this thing into my project monster truck hybrid but I'd like to know what chassis it is so I can locate parts for it. The guys over at traxxas online community think it might be a blue eagle but don't know for sure. The grey traxxas sticker on the bottom of the tub says B 0080700 if that means anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You make it sound like the sledgehammer chassis

The tub is much narrower than a sledge and the guy that gave it to me said it had a pickup truck body on it. The wheels are like those on the sledge but the tires are a spike like a stadium truck would have. The tranny is just like the unit on the pede including the slipper which tells me it is most definately a hawk. I've put it back up until I get the funds to do something with it.

If it were a Blue Eagle it would have a blue motor mount and motor guard. If these are brown and it has a fiberglass chassis it is most likely a SRT. If it is a SRT let me know. I am looking for one of these. Are the shocks aluminum?

I have a Hawk 2! It was my first car, and you described it perfectly. Thats what it is, my friend. Mine has been soooo skrewed up. I broke it in two once(now has a 1/8 inch peice of aluminum along the bottom, and a solid aluminum Tranny plate), cracked the shock tower(now aluminum)
