Mini lst-friend or foe?

Crazed and I were doing a lot of posting on a thread negative towards mini lsts. Maybe we're wrong... so Lets continue here. What do YOU think about the mini lst? Heres mine... me likey the shiny :toocool: better look now before i get my new diffs in. Wont be shiney for long!

By the way, the "cfr" decals are kind of an inside thing with me and nitrokiller. well, ok, I dont talk to nitrokiller much anymore so its just me, but anyways when I first started racing i couldnt finish a race without breaking something so... C.F.R. Cant Finish Races :d

I like the body better with the decals off. Only thing is that the line between white and blue under the decal looks like poo.

New topic... do you have a mini-t/rc18 crazed? I was wondering if a guy took the hexes off of the mlst if he could use minit/rc18 wheels... just a thought.

Yeah I sent a message to CAW earlier today actually, lol. I asked if they could quote me for the chassis ex./skids and the axels/hexs. I dont want all the other stuff. Id rather have plastic bumpers than deal with aluminum looking all scratched and bent. I only want the longer chassis and wider stance.

As for Lipo, im not really familiar. I never wanted to spend that much on batteries and a charger. I just see it this way... micro packs cost 20 bucks, a 7.4 1500 lipo is about 30, decent charger is about 50. so I already have a charger for nimh/nicd and that 80 bucks will buy me 4 new regular packs that I wont cause explosions with. I can understand lipo if you're going brushless, but Ive never really had the desire to do that either.

I messed around with the esc and reciever and ended up turning them both sideways, which makes the wiring look a lot cleaner. The only drawback is that I pulled the servo wires further underneath the chassis to do so, and had to pull them further to the rear to zip tie them again. It kind of makes me uncomfortable having the wires so exposed, so I'm ordering a 1/8th sheet of lexan. I'll probably make a whole plate (like the aluminum ones you see on ebay for the rc18/minit http://cgi.ebay.com/D-A-Racing-skid-system-for-Associated-RC18T-Red_W0QQitemZ6025739521QQcategoryZ34063QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ) but I plan to make it follow the dips on the underchassis and form a wheelie-bar in the rear, and a rpm style bumper in the front. All one piece I hope.

ok, heres the first try with plexiglass. I decided to skip the skid and bumper as one piece and seperate the plates in the middle. Below is the first plate. I'll have another one in the rear which will meet it at the same angle, with a small gap for cosmetic effect. if it works out, I'll start on the lexan.

If I were you I'd sell those Joes and wabashes for like 60 bucks, sell your engine for 80, clean your integy/rpm chassis up real nice and you can get at least 180-200 out of it, and then sell the stock parts/roto all the rest as a roller and you can get 150 out of that too. Then you can pick up your lst2 with only a few bills out of pocket. If you still have that jr xr2 you can sell that too, cause the lst2 comes with a jrxs3.

P.S. JUST (5 min ago) picked up a trinity t-spec (carpet) with lrp sport 14+ for ovals in point.

nitro, I tried to paint one inside of that blue and white stampede body when we lived in point. I dont remember what I masked with, but I DO remember it didnt work!

otherwise give me the dementions of what you want, and I'll send you a few cuttings from transfer paper for you to fool around with. I cant remember the name of the font I originally did it in, and my laptop doesnt have th ms suite on it so I cant check, but you should be able to figure it out on ms paint (thats where I got the font) check out the LRP logo I did for the hood of my touring car. I'll do a white and flourescent yellow color scheme (imagine that) and the hood will be clear with this decal...

XXX-main also makes a "blank" graphite (or cf, i dont remember which) sheet of internal stickers that i could make a mask from. Or does a company make just a blank sheet of masking??
