Have had my mini lst now for a month and it is a very good running 1/18, made a jump ramp and it takes the jumps very smoothly. But I am looking for some taller tires and rims to put on my mini lst..
ive taken my mini lst apart, except for the arm and wheel assemblies, and i found that if i hold them by the arms, then spin the wheels freely i can see the wheel wobbling....

put a washer between the the wheel bearing and the lock pin just behind the wheel and that should take up some of the wobble.
naah its snug... no play, and no space for a shim... its the rims themselves that are warped for some reason... im buying some new rims, either 1/10 normal car wheels to use with my hot racing 1/10 adaptor, or the hot racing aluminum wheels that are a direct replacement for the stock rims... not sure about the losi plastic dish wheels, someone said that they break...

you probubly needed the replacement wheel hexes that losi sent out. the other place there is a lot of slop is the conecting link between the servos I replaced it with a ball stud and tie rod, that really helped.

:p First, the good:
The truck is very tough, ive had plenty of "accidents" just getting the hang of the truck and havent had one chassis part break. Stock the truck is decently fast, plenty fast for first time RC'ers, and fast enough to keep experienced guys happy while learning how the truck handles and jumps. Although it feels kinda cheesy, the synthasized radio is really nice, at $10 a pop for crystals in other recievers, you get allot of bang for your buck with the radio supplied. (6 channels I believe)
:d Second, the marginal stuff:
I have noticied as others have pointed out that the suspension and wheel connections are a bit wobbly, this is typical with most off road RTR cars, but still, I cant seem to get the steering trim straight.... Also, the car isnt the easiest to work on. with the durrability of the double deck chassis and how the diffs are engineered in the truck, you get some pretty tight spots to work in, and in my opinion not for novice RC mechanics. Other then that the gear protector lexan is a bit on the cheap side, and I hear some people have had some issues with the electronics.
:o Third, the BAD
I know its been said by many before me, but the front and rear diff gears are VERY breakable. I have tried every trick in the book (Boiling, shimming, and lubing) that I know of and I still plan on striping a diff at a day on the track, or bashing. In my opinion losi REALLY droped the ball on the drivetrain in this truck. Aside from the diffs, I would have to say that the slipper clutch (which could really help save those gears) is the cheapest I have seen, and is almost worthless. I really hope that losi sees the error they made and make some improvments in future models.
Final Thoughts
If I were to rate the losi Mini LST on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 7.5. This is a great truck to get into the hobby at a great price. But to tell you the truth I would have paid $50 more for a better drivetrain layout, as well as more attention to craftsmenship. It just feels like losi pushed this one out the door...
well i got the replacement wheel hexes, they came in a seperate bag with instructions for me to install them before i run it and i did, they are slightly thicker than the hexes already installed in the truck
besides, they are not the problem, the wheel itself has been misshapen , and i am going to replace them with other wheels
