Oh nice! Sweet bashing area! We should all be so lucky.
thats a great place to bash your truck about are you running the stock tranny clutch and spur with the axial 32 cos i have been thinking of getting one for my mta 4 and wonded if every think would take the extra power going through it if not what would i need to do to run it
What i have done is is put the .28 tranny (which i heard is not nessesary) shimmed the diffs as well as alumminum diff housings , new cvd's . I did this cause you don't want any play in your driveline with this power plant. I also tighten the spur all the way, but be aware you have to drive it a little easyer . The clutch is stock and the spur is stock , i did try a couple of combinations like 17t bell and 49 spur , 17t bell and 52 spur , could not do 15 bell and 49 spur cause the flywheel hits the tranny . I also tried tire sizes for fun , with the smaller tires and the stock setup you can get it to shift while climbing and it will pull the front tires like in the video (listen close and you can here it shift and up go the wheels) but i think i like the way the stock works for bashing. The other setups worked good for more top speed but i dont really need top speed. I also use the polished HPI pipe with the stock header from the .21 and really like the performance, the longer header helps for torque(like i need more ha ha ha) The Axial .32 is an awsome motor and i couldn't be more happy with it , i have run almost 2 gallons of byrons (first gallon 20% and second 25%) through it and no problems at all. Easy to tune if you know what your doing, starts 2-3 pulls . I'm useing an OS A5 plug. Hope this helps
