I just got a Revo 3.3...Not being a big Nitro fan. The first thing I want to do is make it an E-Revo. I found the mount from RC-Monster for $60. It reuses the stock Tranny and bolts right in. I'm waiting for the Monster Mamba Max to come out in a couple of months. I plan on using it. I just need help on what Brushless motor to run and battery set up to use. Is there anything esle that needs to be upgraded to handle the power. I'm not going to race it or take huge jumps. Just want a good low maintance rig. I just wait it to be stupid fast.

the 3.3 is stupid fast, but if u want to convert it to E, i guess you could start by taking the throttle servo and linkage out and fuel tank and engine, mounts and such.

Well I figured that...

Oooh, ya that was helpful.
Well first, the Monster Mamba Max is beginning to sound like a cruel hoax. I hope it comes out soon. For a motor, it depends on the runtime you want. You could get a Feigao XL sized motor that will work well, but they tend to run hot. They are under $100.00. The Cadillac of BL motors is the Plettenberg Big Maxximum. It will run strong and cool over a long run. Cost $285.00. In between is the Lehner basic XXL 3000 at about $200.00. The Lehner is a good comprimise between the two ($200), but they are hard to find.
For batteries, you want LiPo, of course. NiMh adds a lot of weight to a conversion. A pair of 6000Mah 2s2p will work well. Thunder Power batteries are the best, but cost. MaxAmps get the job done much cheaper.
No needed upgrades to the driveline. The Revo Trans and stock sliders will hold up well.
Have fun!!!

Thats what I was needing. Wow 285 for on motor. That better be the Cadillac of all BL's...I'll keep my eye out for a Lehner XXL...I have a few connections.

The Pletty is expensive, but if you want to race 20 minute mains against the nitros, it's the best way to go. Nothing wrong with the Lehner motors either and there shouldn't be for $200. Hackers are also great motors, but they don't make anything suitable for a MT. Whatever you get, you want to be in the 2500 to 3000kv range. Any higher kv ratings than that and you'll be battling heat.

Isn't the monster mamba max coming with a motor?

Who knows. I would think CC would take full advantage of all the hype and offer motors.

For cheap lipos, go to http://home.comcast.net/~truerc/custompack.htm
If your using IE, press Ctrl+f, and type in TrueRC 14.8V 4S2P 8000mAh IN STOCK
Probably the best deal you can get on a big battery, if you want to buy it, email the guy and ask for 12awg wires, he will do it for free.

give us an update - did this truck ever git built?
for my conversion i made a battery tray out of some alloy angle. then a esc trey fr the MM ESC out of Carbon fiber. you will also need to lock the tranny into second gear if you want to use motor breaks and motor reverse. to do this you need to use 3 4mm screws into the shift mechanism. and remove the first gear.
for a motor mount you dont really need the one from RCM, i am useing a modified pancar mount wuth out problems, and it accually sits the motor directly on the chassis.
if you go with a lesser ESC such as a MM you will need to disable the internal BEC and use one offered from Castle or the koolflight one. also a good motor that has a awesome price is the 9xl, you will also need a pinion and from what i understand every one is useing a 15 tooth with the wideratio gearset.
