No fair...youve got too far a head start.......lol
VERY nice beginning setup. Ill be watching this....
cause till traxxass does come out with a brushless revo...this is the route i plan on going.
Good luck...
Dan
Thanks Dan.
It is definitely a solid start. I will be selling the nitro stuff from it, locking it in second gear, Mounting the RC-M mount, get my CF sheet cut fit and mounted as esc tray, battery tray, etc. then it will sit until after the holidays.

Why no reverse?
um, the gear reverse??? coz an electric motor has reverse already, so it can go either way by the esc changing the current, so reverse would be useless, just more stuff to maintain...
but good luck dickyt, i plan on watching this closely, do the same if i can and it works... when funds allow...
I was thinking about getting a brushless set up for christmas (if I could) but I might do that and sell off my Maxx to try this, lol.
I'd hate to see it go, but from what I've seen of these, they can turn out pretty sweet if done well, which I know you'll do.

Sharpie on the wheels! Or is it dye...
Sharpie on the wheels, ha ha!
DickyT, that thing is going to be amazing! I can't wait to see it finished.
Sharpie on the wheels! Or is it dye...I think they were dyed. I'll get a better idea when it gets here. Those wheels will be sold regardless alnog with the 23mm adapters. I've been the 23mm route, I want lighter here, going 17mm.... I think. I may keep the 23's clean those rims up, sand them and paint them. Either way it needs a set of street tires, a set of dirt tires, and maybe, just maybe keep what's on there to start racing....
I ordered some lunsford pins and shock socks for it last night. No more parts until it is in my hands and i have stripped the nitro stuff from it.
I just received my CF sheet and rc-m mount! Now I need the truck to get here.

Let me know if you wanna sell those 23mm wheels & tires after you see if they are decent. This is Doug (RC Shocker btw)
I got some very nice tires and/or wheels if you wanna do some trading.
Great Looking Revo you got there. I was lucky enough to have quite a few ups on the 2.5R Revo I picked about a month ago.
I'll probably be going BL near the first of the year.
Good Luck !!!!!
Doug,
I'll let you know if I decide to do away with the 23mm in favor of 17. Still undecided.

I tried out the OFNA 17mm on my E-Maxx. They seemed to have alot of play/wobble in them so I was not very impressed with them.
I sold them here at URC and went back to 14mm.
Just let me know, there's no rush.

That's for darn certain. I'm going to have to do some saving just to get the roller running. I'm going lipo so... new charger\balancer\lipo's, i need a motor\esc..... So that will be almost a grand right there... eta: end of march wil be it's first bash unless I get more than a cost of living raise and\or uncle sam is nice to me.

That's why I'm considering going nitro instead of brushless...
I could run the cells I have now but that'd be no fun and they're on their last leg...
BUT, with brushless, you never have to buy fuel! ;)

nitro is $30\gallon at my LHS. I would go through that in a weekend, possibly 2 gallons. I bash 8-10 hours straight on Saturdays. I'm better off saving for a few lipos.
Today my lunsford pins and Revo arrived!
I stripped the nitro gear off and installed the rc-m mount.
