YES!! Traxxas does something without hyping it up and kicks it through the uprights. I definitely want one now.

Kudos to Traxxas for sneaking this under the radar and paying attention to current trends in the market. I honestly suspected someone at Traxxas had been paying attention when Losi launched their Baja truck when I saw the Slash, but man does it ever look slick.

I'm beside myself since I just checked the Traxxas site only a couple hours ago. WAY TO GO TRAXXAS!

but its only 2 wheel again... thats the worst part. apart from that body...

The real ones are only 2 wheel drive also. Are they not?

There's two different classes, one for the 4wd ones, and one for the 2wd ones. The Pro-2 (2wd trucks) are actually a bit more fun to watch because of how much further they hang it out in the turns, and they really aren't much slower than the heavier Pro-4 (4wd trucks) ones. They both go real big off jumps though, and are a sensory overload to watch bomb around the track.

Great job Traxxas, I really didn't see this coming, but it looks amazing!

yeah, but that doesnt mean im not dissapointed about the 2 wd... i would of prefered 4wd, and a little more styling to my taste, but if it handles well, then i gues it will pass, lol

Razor Racer, Can you create a comparison with the Losi Desert Truck? Makes me wonder who decided to produce a CORR truck first. There should be some intense battles between these two! I'll root for the Traxxas since Losi has already made enough money selling small scale vehicles that need upgraded electrics out of the box..

It's no comparison...the Losi is a XXX-T with a cheesy half-baked effort of a new lid and plastic roll cage. At least the Slash has a scale looking CORR body and had a new chassis built for it specifically. I know which company will get my money if from nothing else than simply from the standpoint of durability...Traxxas.

It looks really good. But handling on this trucks looks like crap to me, although it could be great I doubt it. Also if the tires are sticky enough it will just flip through all the corners.

Handling looks just fine to me. They are letting the rear end loose in turns just like their real counterparts, and have enough traction to hold that.
I would like to see 4wd, I'm a 4wd guy, but this is a 2wd I'd highly consider!
That chassis is begging for TWO battery packs to be mounted on either side, and the electronics in the middle.
You could run dual NiMhs for longer run-times/more punch, or dual LiPos with a BL system for insanity!
I'd expect the 2 packs to be in parallel though, obviously.

looks nice.. I like it very scale, but that is an awfuly big chassis for such little componets...

If it's 2.2 there will be lots of tires and wheels for it depending on the wheel hex size.

YES!!! I hope this picks up into something gigantic...I love to beat on my trucks...now I'll have a chance to be competitive at it! Looks like there is going to be alot of conversions going on to be competitive in that class.

I'm willing to bet that they will be 12mm hex size, same as the Rustler/Stampede.

They did change an old one, this is basically a stampede with different chassis, bumpers, and a few other little goodies here and there, but the transmission and f/r suspension are the same... so I wouldnt consider this a completely new vehicle. But its still awesome :)
