The front headlights decals are now semi-photorealistic and the area above the rear quarter panels have decals showing a representation of gas reservoir-type shocks. I hope the decal sheet has all these options, because the real CORR trucks just run with black or white headlight-shaped decals instead. Pics below:

Saw these a day or two ago, but I do like the headlight styling. Gives the front of the truck some attitude.

The headlights are OK. The other stickers that are supposed to add detail make the truck look too toy-like (just like the other Traxxas vehicles).

At least those stickers look more real than what Traxxas used to put on their vehicles.

I do. If I'm going to pay for a hobby grade RC, it should at least look like one, and I don't just mean the body. If it wasn't for the outstanding durability, I wouldn't even consider owning a Traxxas vehicle.
I do like the detail they put into the slash's bumpers though.:)

what kind of decals make an RC look "hobby grade"? Most traxxas vehicles come with a decal sheet for you to put them on, and the ones they do put on are "hobby grade" so they remove easily, don't down a company because there are a bunch of decal whores that feel the need to put every decal on the sheet on the truck...... associated and Losi have lame decals as well, thats why you dont put them on. And as for Realism, have you noticed that Most stadium trucks have nearly everything painted or decal'd on like the lights and grille and sponsorship decals too(lights and grille depends on class). It looks hobby grade to me, as do all their other Vehicles........ but maybe in my 20+ years of owning "hobby grade" R/C's i havent grasped what "hoby grade" really means.

First of all, if you're refering to my post I said I wasn't talking just about the body. I'm talking about the whole truck, car, whatever it may be. Second, there's no need to get defensive. I'm not flaming Traxxas.
Traxxas' bulky, unrefined molds (not even talking about the body here) make them look like they're toys. Park a Rustler beside a T4, XXXT, or even an E-Firestorm with the body off (in stock form) and tell me which one looks more like it's a hobby and not just a toy. Even the electronics, compare the looks of the vxl ESC with a Mamba, or the XL-5 with any Novak or LRP and tell me which one LOOKS like it was geared towards adults. Even people that have no clue about radio controls have made this observation when they see my radio controls. They always point at my Stampede or Rustler and say something like "well, how much do you pay for a cheap one like that?"

Again, I'm not trying to flame Traxxas or start a war, just making an observation. Besides, function over form right? If it performs the way it should is what really matters. I've owned many Traxxas vehicles and had fun with all of them.
Oh, mud, in your sig I see you have a couple of vehicles that are kits, so you must have somewhat of a grasp of what "hobby grade" is.;)

not just what you stated, the comments made in general....and yes Traxxas vehicles have thicker parts when compared to Associated and Losi...But im sure when you tell them the price of the "cheap" one they soon realize its no toy.... The comments i was referring to was about how the decals somehow make the car look cheap...... dont put them on........lol. sometimes i like to think im smarter than i really am and ramble but yes about traxxas looking "cheap" compared to a T4 or Losi XXXT it is true, but i think traxxas gave up on using this platform as a racer long ago......

we have e-firestorms and such at my shop as well as the speed-t and they have very similar chassis styles, if you really have a beef with the setup pick up a dremal and gitur done.
