i really want to get into racing, problem is there is nothing around me for racing. people are just starting to talk about it so no time soon would i have any real compition. i like the slash because of the scale look and the great price, my question is, can i bash it at all? or would it be better to just get a rustler/stampede? thansk everyone

I just saw a video today where there were three Slashes racing on an asphalt lot. There was a plastic ramp set up (not very large), and when the Slash went off it, it jumped just like a Stampede.

The Slash is built with the same materials as the Stampede and the Rustler/Bandit, and we all know the bash reputation of all of those vehicles. However, I think because of the way the Slash is set up, it's one of the few vehicles that's equal parts racer and basher. It even comes with waterproof electronics, so it's almost like Traxxas is hinting at the fact it's bashable. On the other hand, the truck is pretty racy, and Traxxas did go to CORR and sponsor Pro-2, 4, and Lite trucks, so one might think you can race them. There's already talk about a Slash class for tracks around the country, so I wouldn't put it past the Slash that people will race it.
