Last night i was reading an rc magazine and desided to read the review on the desert truck. Then half way through the review i started dosing off. I didnt start getting tired untill i read about the desert truck. And beefore i started readijng the review i had drank a glass of mountain dew and ate a chocholate thing that made me hiper. I never did finish reading that review. I could not stay awake.:rollin:

Sounds like either the magazine doesn't know how to peg your interest or the truck really is that bad.
the truck has its high and its low points

Im posting short, no point sentences to get my post count higher.
I hate when magazines make really bad, boring reviews. It almost makes you want to forget the review, and buy something else.

Im preatty sure when i was reading about it. i was at the part about the desert truck going 21mph i think thats when i started dosing off. The desert truck has absolutely nothing on the slash. Traxxas is da bomb.
Everybody thinks the slash is so great.I thinkthe slash is over rated. It is ugly in my opinion.I think the losi will handle better.Slash looks like something you would buy at wallyworld.I do not mean to offend anyone, but this is what i think.Tired of hearing about the slash and how great it is ,when nobody knows for sure.

Will some body with a slash post on here how the slash handles, how it accelerates, the speed, and i figure if something is going slower yeah its going to handle better. But in a race the slash would beat the desert truck because its faster.

I guess you've been living under a rock for the past month then. There are a couple of members here (iluvmud, & skellyo) that have their Slash(es), and love them. The Desert Truck is in a different class. All it is is a raised and gussied up XXX-T. Not to take away from the Desert Truck, but that's really all it is. At least with the Slash, there is a lot more new stuff.

No, you're wrong, I'm right :p
Losi isnt a company that would put friction shocks on a truck like that. The link you provided was the "preview", on losi's site and on horizon (http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0102), it says it uses oil filled aluminum shocks.
Also about the Slash being new... its basically a pede with a different chassis, then some cosmetic body/wheel change, and waterproof electronics. Desert truck is just a slightly changed XXX-T, the Slash is just a slightly changed pede.
I'm not saying that the Slash is bad, just that its not a "new" thing.

Everyone who likes the Slash are people who like some type of realism with there vehicles. There the same people who think the Losi is a cheep repacked try to sell what we thought was the closest we would get to a rc racing vehicle with some type of realism to it. Untill the Slash came about. So If you don't like the slash chances are you don't watch or like the Corr type trucks. I don't understand why some people get so upset that something else is the hot new thing.
I, for one, think there is a place for both vehicles. They are not in direct competition with each other but are very different interpretations of the stadium/Baja/CORR style. Losi simply went their way with an interesting semi-caged back end (which I like) and lights (mmm...OK, whatever), Traxxas went for much more scale appearance. No one would allow them to run in the same class except for absolute beginners to racing. The weight difference is considerable, as is the size of the trucks and the tire widths. I'm all for bench racing, but it's a common thing on forums to compare vehicles that aren't that much alike, and that's not really fair to either truck.
BTW- If anyone has seen my other posts they know which one I'm getting!
(...and still waiting for them at my LHS - I'm so tempted to be disloyal, but at this point even if I ordered it online it would arrive on the same day as the store predicts arrival)
