Ok, so I have seen many guys here and others at other forum sites that are getting the Slash and saying that they are very fun. I seen lots of videos of it at the track or bashing around and it seems to be a great decent truck. It has realism and seems very tough. So is it worth getting one? 200 for it seems to be a great deal. Anyone agree?

You kind of just said so in your post. Durable, looks great, and for something that big costing only $200, it's affordable. You mentioned you saw video footage of it. What did you think of the truck(s) in the videos? It shares parts with the Stampede/Rustler, and those are pretty reliable rigs.
Personally I think the Slash is a worthwhile investment. You can race it if you like, or you can go bashing with it. It's only a matter of time before the aftermarket starts pumping out parts for it, so if you really like the Slash, go for it.
Ok then. I really like the truck, where that it resembles a full size CORR race truck. I'm kind of a realistic looks rc guy and I can't resist getting the Slash.
Definitely a great deal, it's a lot cheaper than the Rustler was when it was first released and the Slash has a few quite effective upgrades like ball bearings, metal gears and to top it off a waterproof xl-5.

At 1/10th scale, it can hang with 1/5th scale vehicles. Now that's some serious toughness. Just imagine it with RPM parts.

is the slash 2wd or 4wd ?

It's 2wd/rwd just like its Stampede/Rustler/Bandit cousins. In fact, it's the same 272 metal gear transmission that's in the VXL Stampede/Rustler/Bandit.
mesa want ones gosa fastah...

yeah it is good for like track races and small jumps, but with stock suspenssion it isnt the best for hard bashing cuz it bottoms ALOT. That is the thing i am really having problems with is the fact that the suspession in the rear is weak. The front is great. Dont get me wrong you can beat the thing and have zero probs but the suspension is lacking!

It has to soft to present that realistic movement. You can't send a real 1/1 CORR truck off a rc bashing jump scaled up to 1/1 size. So is it lacking? Or are you overshooting the scale race setup the suspension was designed for?

well i think it would be REALLY cool to see a 1:1 scale hit a 1:1 scale of the jumps i hit. Major Crash!!! Honestly I am trying not to race it or make it realistic; i want it to be tough and beatable!! I love the way the slash jumps and soars, so thats why i am beefing up the rear suss. You cant get the same effect out of a rusty or stampede! The slash is unique and i will make it perfect for my needs...tough and with alot of susspension travel!!
