Team Associated's CORR truck!

The discussion started in this thread (http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92905). It's on the back of the September issue of RCCA and on RC10.com. What's it gonna be? Electric or nitro? What scale, 1/18th, 1/10th, or 1/8th?

It's gotta be, they saw all the hype surrounding the slash itself i think they were focusing on that.... plus in all honesty i dont think the slayer is gonna go too far well compared to the slash itself.... especially when the slash is so awesome....lol

Let's see, the Slash was unveiled in April. AE began CORR sponsorship no later than May. I think it's safe to say that when the Slash & TRX CORR thing happened, AE folks put out an APB to "move on this space NOW!" End of June they had a nearly production-ready truck. That's pretty fast. Either they've pulled a Traxxas and repurposed an existing platform (T4/B4, GT, Mini MGT 3.0, or RC8), or they've been working on this since before the Slash came out. If it's the latter, kudos to their espionage work ;) and I have high hopes! If it's the former, I hope it's at least T4-based.

Edit: I SURE hope it's not B44-based unless they ditched the saddle pack requirement.

I think it'll be electric and 1/10th scale to go head-to-head with the Slash. The Slayer came out too close to AE's announcing they were getting into the CORR style truck, but that's not to say that a nitro version isn't in the wings.

Well I havent bought a Slash yet... but I think I will wait and see what AE puts out, as they are my fav.

exactly... and i shall have it.... dunno if ill be one of the 1st with this one since were not close to HQ...BUT IT SHALL BE MINE!!!! if it actually IS 2wd electric.... and i hope its not a rehash, and the T4 would be the only logical rehash ty could use since its got a nice narrow front end.... would be good for travel... if that makes any sense.

who ho ae corr truck defenatly a 10th scale if they want to compete with the slash. The slash will be the most popular fro nubs if ae makes a ft version witch would stink. I like that the class is simple and realiztic. I think that is what rc needs to draw in more people. simple calsses that can introduce peopel into the hobbie

I am going to go ahead and get a slash anyway. It could be months yet before the AE truck hits shelves in any real quantity.

I hope it is 4wd, but based on the TC4 chassis. Oh, i don't care what it is based on. I would be happy if it uses a B4 chassis. As long as it doesn't use saddle packs. I hate saddle packs! Saddle packs were invented by a short, evil, balding guy from somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin, who had nothing better to do during long winter nights!:devious:

well, 1 thing to note.. Ae already has the red Bull graphics made. they might be on the gt2 chassis/body. But the decals are already made. I doubt they would have taken the time to make a full corr graphics package for just 1 factory driver, ST. Also since they are on the gt2, if and when they do make a corr truck. Based on the decal sheet. We can believe its going to be 1/10 scale.

im willing to bet it will be within a week. probably the next couple days

if you notice, on the attached thumbnail, the helmet goggles stay black when the words come up. and the website WAS the same way when i checked the other day

but now when you go to rc10.com, when "start driving" shows up, so does a face in the mask
which means their updating it, not just letting it sit up there forever

anyone else notice that? idk maybe im crazy

And I think it'll be a 1/10th scale 2wd truck, to compete with the Slash...

I'm betting this truck will out perform the Slash in the races...But it'll probably be inferior to the Slash when it comes to bashing. I think it'll be a lot like a Rustler/T4 situation. Not exactly the same, but similar...

I really hope it's a Pro-4, though....
