I'm a newbie... please help me
Here's what happened..
After I used my 13t motor with same gear ratio as my stock motor,(120 x 40) I think I blew up my motor... it made some smoke and it goes slow even with fully charged battery.
what gear ratio should i use??

how many battery packs have you run through it? If you've run alot through it then it might be time to pull out the brushes and clean them and the comm. What kind of truck/car are you running the motor in?? I run my buggy at 80/20 most of the time and it might get a little hot after a good long run, but never smoking.

I ran through about 5 battery packs, and installed new brushes as well. But I can't cut the comm since it's not the rebuilable motor... may be my motor just sucks
it's called peak panther motor.
Well thanks for the advise...

p(i)eak Panther... neat name Umm get an eraser tat will fit through the brush hoods and try to clean er up. I just had to rebuild a motor of mine with almost the same prob... just no smoke. LOTS of wear will do it but hmm through 5 paks you shouldnt have that prob unless dirt goton the comm

sounds like you burnt-up a wind on the armature. check your owners manual about what gear to use w/ a mod motor...this is very important, or you could be cooking motors and speed controls like nobody's business:eek:
