The estimated price of a mini E-Revo is a bit high when comparing it to the big boy. Maybe offer it in a brushed version. Some people may not want to spend that much, but get it around $200, then some might. On the other hand the Slash/Slayer, whatever they are going to call it, might bring more buyers if it came in brushless too.
Just wondered how people felt about this.
Yeah I feel the same way.

The losi mini LST2 is $200 and it has 2 brushed 370 motors, a 2.4GHz radio, aluminum oil-filled shocks, and the batteries and charger are included.
So $200 sounds like a good price for a mini revo with a single brushless motor, no batteries, no charger, plastic shocks, and a 27 MHz radio.

this would seem to confirm that
brushed for 200
brushless for 320
woa, that looks like a big motor

thoughts?
I like the tight turning ability and obviously the acceleration.
Anyone know if this these brushless motors are the same as the 1/10 vxl? The motor looks huge to me in the mini slash pic.

its a 380 sized can, so no, not the same size (the 1/10th titan in the slash/rusty/pede/bandit is a 540)

what would you guys sugest 2 of the stock 7.2v nimh batts in series 2 11.1v lipos in parallel or 2 7.4v lipos in series. price and batts dont matter much since i will be buyin a charger that can do both nimh-nicad and lipos and the batts cost the same too.
2 3s in parallel will be awesome.
and yeah crunchy, they are overpriced compared to the lst2, it will be interesting to see how tough they are compared to it, as the losi has alot more aluminium parts than the revo/slash, and is cheaper. the losi is a better deal, but its a different style of truck, so i think that will be a determining factor.
and also, the revo/slash do come with a battery and charger, but no aluminium shocks :( but the brushless motor would power the car faster than 2 brushed... so its better to have 1.
i think traxxas should sell the car as a roller, not brushed, so people can put what they want in it, most people will go brushless anyway, but looking at the vxl's track record for 1/10 scale, its not a promising outlook...

I hope it is more durable than the LST2. I bought one and it was the most fragile R/C I have ever had by far. I stripped out the steering servos on the maiden voyage - rebuilt them and stripped them out again on the 3rd battery pack. I rebuilt them again and SOLD it!

I'd love to have a roller/kit also! I really hate those stock TX's they give you, just one more item to take up space!

I just said that! LOL! Deja Vu!
hmm, its true, you can get a brushed titan 380 motor, 18 turns, and an XL 2.5 esc, waterproof model for the brushed edition. far as i could gather, the brushed is called the same, but without the vxl at the end...
