7075 aluminum is the most common material for alloy chassis' (proline, team associated, etc.)

I used 1/8" thick garolite for my Rogue GS1 build, if you use it for the entire chassis, be sure to brace it, as I had to extend my side rails to minimize bending between the gear box and battery

If you use garolite and plan to cut it, make sure you wear some type of respiration or mask, that dust is brutal on your lungs

Also it may seem silly to you, but just make sure you can attach the rear triangular sections that brace the rear of the chassis to your shock tower. It will be difficult to find a material that you can keep vertical to drill holes in and further attach them together and what not.

Dont need 7075 its too expensive and 6061 is plenty at the moment im running my 1/8 pan with no front brace and its fine.

I buy all of my aluminum sheet from the remnants bin at my local metals supplier-- they sell rems by the pound. For G10, fasteners, and other whatnots, it's all McMaster.com.
