I've had a few micros in my time, and can safely say that normal CA is the quickest way to make your repair job bigger! lol
Hot glue/wood glue add way to much weight to a micro, so don't even bother with them. They also don't bond well unless there is a decent size surface for it to be applied to, ruling out anything but fuselage repairs.
Foam safe CA is the only way to go to retain any form of flight characteristics. Refrain from using kicker too, it speeds it up to much and the heat generated from the reaction can damage the foam almost as much as normal CA can!
