Body won't be here until late this week.

But I got some work done on the project this weekend. Got alot of parts on saturday. Some from www.Stormerhobbies.com, and some others from the LHS.

this is my upgraded front suspension. I will say that this part is almost complete. then came the rear end. Today the dremel got a work out.
I started by cutting heads off of screws to make some new links. Then attached some front shocks from Mini-T.

Then came the hard part of this build. The four link system. so far nothing but failing. Hopefully tomorrow goes better for the Mini-SCT.

Have you tried attaching a 2nd set of links from the top of the diff to the mount holes between the shocks and lower links.

Ya that is what I am thinking about doing. The question I got is should I use the servo plates (which I don't have yet) or rig something up to work?
After this section is done mockup is finished. Later this week I'm going to make a chassis.

How would you set that up. I don't know anything about droop. No crawlers yet.

my thought was get some stiff springs shorter than they need to be. so that way the shocks have some travel with springs on them
but when they are on the the springs it will have suspension. when it leaves the ground the shocks drop down and have some travel were the srpings have no effect. only thing is this setup probly wont be good for handeling it would just look good.

Use a long soft spring, and a short stiff one. Dual rate set up.
Builing 1/10 and 1/1 off road vehicles is a life long sport, requiring endless amounts of time, money and dedication.
