arthur- The aluminum I found came from Home Depot, it was an angled bar of aluminum, I'm not 100% sure on the dimensions, but I think it's 2" X 2".
Slidnslash- I agree, the mount looks pretty bendable in a crash, but I will add some kind of a motor brace, I have some left over aluminum =P
The mount is going to be a flat piece of aluminum cut to the thickness of the chassis, resting on the tops of the side plates, I'll create some kind of motor support, and since the motor is far off to the side of the chassis, that will leave me room to safely place the ESC, it's get more airflow up there, than if it were underneath the motor. Also, when I do that, under the motor is a free space, enough free space to rig up a battery mount.
