After very long and deep consideration, I've decided to alter my plans for the Ultimate 4-Tec project. Though I'm very confident that I can make this car into a respectable racer (having already done well with it on the track), the problem is that I don't have regular access to onroad racing events. My nearest R/C racing facility, which is nearly an hour away, holds races at their on-road track on Sundays. I work at their shop and/or do offroad track maintenance Friday by day, and rent J-SPEC TC vehicles for the Friday night dirt oval program which usually doesn't end until around midnight. I then race offroad all Saturday, including renting J-SPECs. I cannot race Sundays as well, except on very rare occasion. Without the ability to race on-road, there's little reason for me to develop an on-road racing vehicle. I could always make the vehicle, surely, but I wouldn't be able to judge its performance in real racing situations.
Therefore, the Ultimate 4-Tec project will not occur as it had been planned. Instead, I will pursue a new project, to be dubbed the
TRX-4. The TRX-4 will be to the 4-Tec what the Losi XXX-4 is to the XXX-S, a 4WD offroad buggy conversion.
Details will be released as they are formed. At this time, the TRX-4 is a low-priority project with many other undertakings ahead of it in my to-do queue.
Therefore, please do not ask questions about the TRX-4 at this time, as I do not have answers
The Ultimate Street Sport project plan is unaffected by this decision.
