Iím expecting some parts for the summit diff to arrive soon, so I thought itís a good time for me to give an overdue update.
Firstly, Iíve started over with a new Slash diff case (which was my backup one incase this doesnít work, so I hope this works) to allow me to keep more of Slash case intact, including the top of the case which means I donít have to find a convoluted way to attach the shock tower and screw the two halves together.
So far I have mainly modified the front half, and as you can see I have cut out a lot of it, but not as much as before. To compensate for this, Iíve had to cut out a lot more of the Summit diff.
On the back half of the diff case I have widened the hole for the bearing (using a Dremel!) to allow the slightly bigger bearing on the left side of the Summit diff (which is the same size as the bearing on the right side of the Slash diff) to fit, allowing me to attach the finished front half to the rear case and shock tower.
Speaking of shock tower, Iíve had to take out some of it as well to allow space for the locking arm thing. Hopefully later Iíll be able to strengthen whatís left so it doesnít fall apart.
