Or at the very least they're trying to earn some revenue by drumming-up sales for a vehicle they already have available.

Either way, it's better than finding out the company has gone wheels-up.

if I were (theoretically) to buy an (offroad) HPI vehicle (for bashing), what would you recommend?

Vorza with 1717 motor so far one of the best set ups for pretty much anything you throw at it . When I saw it I had to have one lol

True! They recently started replying to the community on their Facebook page. Someone asked about the V2 Savage Xl trucks that were announced a while back and I made a comment about them being removed from the HPI website and probably cancelled.
Hpi responded and said they are not cancelled, just not ready for release. Cool stuff.

+1 on the Vorza, unless you really want a nitro vehicle. I don't think I've ever heard of someone buying a Vorza and regretting it.

If I'm not wrong, this gear will fit the Bullet differentials. http://www.exotekracing.com/rs4-spor...dif-gear-7075/
Would it be useful?

It should fit, but it's aluminum. The Bullet will tear it to pieces. The Bullet needs steel diff gears.
