That's strange he quoted me $17 for shipping. He said e-packet but shipped EMS?
You can't understand cuz you're listening too slow.

Just got a response and this is what he quoted me:

one set shipping cost: USD12.50
two set shipping cost: USD13.00
EMS epacket, 7-12 days normally.

I'm happy again I will go ahead and order 2 sets just in case. I'd rather not have to do this again if you know what I mean.

lesson learned from purchasing my DXR8-E. I've been waiting for them to send me replacement parts since January. boo!
I tried warning folks about poor parts support from DTX on the DXR8e thread, I don't think I will ever buy a DTX car ever again, and sadly... parts support for NitroRCX cars are starting to worry me as well

I wonder if they are going out of business soon???

It seems NitroRCX is doing quite well, the problem is look at all of the products they carry. It's hundreds, now imagine the cost of stocking all of those products and parts at an adequate level. Add in Xheli, HobbyPartz, NitroPlanes, and RaidenTech, that are all part of the same company and it is staggering.

Just costs to much money to stock everything appropriately, it's a broken business model for their customers. Parts and products come in and out of inventory in waves. The Tacon has been a good product for them, but they still can't keep up with the stocking of parts.

I was optimistic that LC Racing would see this and diversify into other resell outlets, I sent many emails to them, but as of yet they seem determined to stick with NitroRCX. Sad to see. It really is an amazing value, hopefully LC Racing will start selling to other vendors, if not this will likely be a long term issue.

Hey first post here.
Wanted to thank all of you for all the info I have gotten from this forum on the Tacon Thriller SCT. Some friends and I were looking for our first hobby grade rc's and the reviews here are what sold us on the Tacon truck. Myself and three friends all got one and we love it!

And a big shout out to GeekMAXX for finding a place to get the spindle sets! Just ordered two sets. One of my friends broke a spindle within his first 1/2 hour runtime and has been waiting for weeks.

No problem, I'm glad to be of help. Pretty much everyone on this forum that has a Tacon is in need of spindles including myself hehe! I also ordered two sets just in case but personally I'm looking forward to some alloy upgrades here in the near future!
