I pulled mine apart last night after many trips to the local dusty, loose dirt track, and mine weren't anywhere near as bad as in the video, but I cleaned them anyway.

I couldn't figure out how to remove them from the slash at one end tho (i didn't have Jang's video in front of me) but I cleaned it, cleaned the bearings and just put it back together... presto!

correct me if i am wrong but are you talking about the U-Joints?? you need to use the U-Joint wrench

That tells you how to out it together, not pull it apart!

But yes, that's the problem!

The issue is how I get those pins to retract - it wasn't clear from that video!

Also, I didn't think these forums were about being condescending, but helpful... I assume you were just having a bad day.

Also, I like your sign file - mine was almost "life is far too important a thing to be taken seriously" from the importance of being earnest, but I figured the UltimateRC forums wouldn't be the place for Oscar Wilde!

This was awesome... and yes an epic change once there cleaned and smoothed down.. But I think I'm just gonna get the Tekno's so I can be lazy lol...

any mcgyver ideas for how to clean inside the female half-shaft? assuming some type of test tube brush or similar...
