I hope this is in the right place. So my whole fleet is electric except for my nitro slash and the mostly complete remains of my old Tmaxx. I just got the Slash out now that the weather is staying warm and remembered why I haven't run it much, it has lack luster acceleration and has insane mid to top end it's just not fun in my opinion. I want to bring the top end down noticeably and gain some acceleration will a simple gear change achieve this like it would in an electric car or would swaping the motor to the 2.5 from the Tmaxx be abetter option?

Nitro's tend to be lumpy like that, try to find yourself a good clutch (anything that works on the 3.3 revo or jato would fit) and gear 1-2 teeth lower on the clutch bell.

Good point on the clutch, I hadn't thought about that. I do remember putting aaluminum three shoe clutch in my Maxx years ago and that made a huge difference in throttle response and overall driving. I will give that a shot. Thanks. I'm still kinda of curious how the truck would behave with the 2.5 in it.
