Not on castle motors they can't take a lot before they get too hot. That would be true for stock rtr non castle motors because they are made out of cheaper materials which means it will heat up faster than castle motors

Hope my earlier post didn't mislead you, as Draco said, that gearing is for low 30s. You should be able to gear that motor for at least the mid to high 40s without heat concerns on 3s, or much higher if you're going to keep the runs short and monitor temps.

In a 2wd stock slash you can run 30t pinion for speed and 19t for off-road why are you running a 14t with the Castle.

I almost forgot if you are not running the mamba max pro esc I would not run high gearing because the esc is gonna either get hot very quickly and thermal shutdown or fry it.

And I thought the mamba could handle that power?

The mamba max pro can handle the power easily, Draco is saying to be careful if you're using the sidewinder.

It might be my fault. When I first heard he was going to run exclusively 3S I suggested he start with the lowest gearing that could fit to keep controllable and adjust up from their.

The sidewinder esc will be fine on 3s if you install a cappack on the esc.
