Hard to see the details on black wheels, that's why. I'll probably be going with metal on my next set of wheels (chrome or unpainted aluminium or steel).

Those HPI wheels look good. I've always liked the ProLine Split Six (non-beadlock) wheels. But for our Spec Slash class, I'm still using stock Slash wheels. Another favorite is the DE Racing Trinidad. I just saw that they also have the "Speedway" wheels, too.

I like the Trinidad's too, partially because they're one of the few SC wheels you can get in a basic gray/silver color. Black and white are nice but we need more gray.

I run yellow Trinidad wheels with Proline Badlands on my Slash 4x4... I like yellow, and I like Badlands!

I really like the HPI's too. Going to have to look into scoring a set of those.
I have a set of Pro Line beadlocks that my son set me up with when he got me going in this hobby-turning-obsession,they are wearing paddles and front steer tires. I am an old guy and like the look of aluminum wheels for situations where they are appropriate.

All the black wheels are ok and very functional, but on the RC's they look too..well too "plastic" for me, if that makes sense.
