In your opinion, what is the best lcg chassis for the Traxxas Slash 2wd. I have the "factory" chassis and have been bashing with it for years. It's been very durable and I haven't broken many parts. For racing however, it's not the best. I've recently been researching the lcg chassis for the Slash 2wd and have came up with 4 choices. I would like to be able to "bash" around the yard with it, but yet be competitive racing. I don't know if I can have the best of both worlds but it's worth a try. If anyone owns or has had an experience with one of these kits please write a comment about your experience.

Had an STRC kit for a while,it was OK,but not anywhere near the CW chassis.

I have the strc lcg kit, got it one week before the traxxas one came out and had no idea about it lol. But if I could do it over again and knew what I know now id prolly go with the traxxas kit. Dont get me wrong I'm very satisfied with my strc kit and its taken a very good beating but it has its cons:

A lot more pieces than the traxxas kit
A lot more complicated install vs the traxxas kit
Less electronics room in the chassis vs the traxxas kit
Battery compartment limits lipo size
And one thing I did not like especially, the strc kit doesnt utilize the front a arm mount holes in the trans case leaving a weak point for the trans to be torn in half in certain cases. This can be remedied though.

But overall I'm still very happy with my strc kit

IMO, I would go with Traxxas because it is plastic, and the stock chassis is aswell, and it hasn't broken, so that could work very well. Plus, they are the company that made th car in the first place, so it would probably would be designed better. I've seen the exploded views and it by far looks the most durable. Also, it's only 30 bucks on rcplanet.com

With the STRC, I know it is only 30 bucks too, but you need a rustler chassis, and I think the rustler chassis isn't very convenient with the way the top plate is set up. For me, it's Traxxas.

If you have a ton of money, the ProLine chassis on the Pro-2 fits, and that is the best chassis for racing out there, but it is pricey.

So far, I'd recommend the traxxas LCG kit. The install is fairly simple and it looks fairly durable. I'm gonna see if I can drive it soon if some of the snow near me melts.
I spend money on parts so I can break things faster.

I have an ANZA and it's awesome!

But my "stock" Slash will be getting the new Traxxas lcg chassis, even though I vowed not to replace anything unless it breaks.....
