Hello!

I just recently purchased my very 1st hobby grade RC truck. I got the Traxxas Slash 2WD Stadium Truck (Arie Luyendyk Edition)

Out of curiosity, will 4x4 suspension upgrade parts fit my 2WD?

Thanks in advance!

Hey congratulations on your truck. It looks like the 4wd uses different parts. The best way to confirm that is to look at the online exploded views of the 2wd and 4wd and compare part numbers.

No 4wd parts won't fit, but there's tons for the 2wd

Congrats, i'm impressed how that rc still sells so effectively.
Anyway, if you want a really close view, look for "slash 2wd parts book" in google and do the same with the 4wd and compare them.

4x4 parts will not fit a 2wd slash . I Own 3 2wd traxxas trucks and I have a slash2wd converted to a monster truck with a mamba monster x esc . If you need info on tires or what upgrades I recomend just ask.
No method to the madness.

The shocks will transfer but the shocks your Slash comes with are very good. Just replace the plastic caps with aluminum when they break. Then adjust your shock oil to suit your conditions. Usually going to a thicker oil (40 to 45wt) will help keep the rear wheels behind the front.

This is the perfect thread for me. Bought my son a 2wd slash. I had so much fun with it i bought myself one as well. Im going to upgrade the motor on mine. Was thinking about the titan 775. Dont really want to go brushless yet. My question is how big can i go with the brushed motor before i run into compatibility problems?

I would be cautious about putting in a higher amp motor without upgrading your esc. Also you will need to mod your tranny to fit a bigger can. Also your weight would be seriously shifted to the rear. If you want to stay brushed then try a similar sized quality motor like Orion. For all the pain and cost, a compatible brushless setup would make you much happier.

The 775 won't fit. It's too big.

I'm looking into running a titan 21 turn on 4s in my slash. The motor is the same size as the 12 turn so it drops right in. The esc will not run 4s, so an esc will be needed also.

The new xl5 3s esc that comes with the trx 4 is an option too with that 21 turn, but it probably will not be any faster than stock on 3s.
