i already have the castle 3800kv 1410 3.2mm shaft 4 pole motor and the sidewinder sct esc for a few years now. has ran great. done bearing in it a couple times, but today the shaft broke. not sure what to do now..should i just get another castle, seems like castle doesn't sell there repair kit anymore, or is there something else you guys would recommend. not looking to spend a ton of cash either right now..
we mostly run just 2s..3s the odd time but not often

i was just looking at that one and comparing it to the leopard 3653 v2. but the leopard says battery 3s and max amp 80..not sure what that really means.. http://www.leopardhobby.com/html/en/...150917/71.html

GoolRC motors are fine, you can't really screw up a brushless motor. I've had good luck with them and so have others. ESCs are important though, always go name brand and high amps to be safe. Maybe pick up the 540 version with a 3.2mm shaft.

True noel 😊 sometimes just ask the ebay seller he will send you a quote through eBay shipping usually a couple dollars more don't assume because it says usa only they won't ship if you ask (I'm not saying you do) , I would really avoid a 540 size motor in anything 1/10 scale with 4x4 but 1\10 2wd is fine,By all means get the hobbywing they Make the best products IMO I would get the 36-56 or 36-60 over the 36-53. Like noel saying about electronics is so true, I would never take a chance on a esc that is not either hobbywing, castle, or tekin (for me hobbywing all day they have the fasted turn around on a warranty I've ever used)

Is your having issues with 3.2mm shafti go 5mm

If that's the KV you want to stick with Tower has the RC Gearshop stuff. They have a 3900kv but it is in a small 3650 can. I run the 1/8th scale version 2150kv(4074 can) in my Slash 4x4. It's a torque monster and has been reliable. Prices are right:
